Viognier, 2016, Marichel, Naramata, BC
This wine is medium bodied with a flowery aroma and a silky palate. It is delicious, especially with spicy foods. Marichel wines are all estate produced and the winery makes wine from only two grapes, Viognier and Syrah. This wine was wild fermented and whole cluster pressing was used. It spent some time aging in barrel before release and has added maturity with five years age. Great value!
